Police seek driver involved in fatal hit-and-run accident

RICHMOND, VA (NBC12) - A 15-year-old pedestrian struck by a pickup truck Friday night has died of her injuries.

She is the first traffic fatality in Richmond this year.

15-year-old Tiara Rosa of New York, was walking in the 4400 block of Walmsley Boulevard with her mother when a pickup truck struck her.

Her mother was not injured.

The accident occurred just before 10:00 p.m.

The driver fled the scene and the Richmond Police Department needs the public's help in locating him.

He is described as a white male with long, light-colored hair and was wearing a baseball hat at the time.

The truck is described as a beige or tan small, single cab pickup and should have front end damage on the right side and headlights broken out.

The driver was last seen heading north on Walmsley Boulevard.
