Chesterfield man killed in motorcycle crash
A Chesterfield man lost control of his motorcycle after fleeing a traffic stop.

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A motorcyclist was killed on Darbytown Road on Sunday.

Brandon Paul Perdue, 26, of Chesterfield, was killed after losing control of his motorcycle, running off the road and striking a culvert pipe.

He was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the hospital.

The crash happened at 1:55 p.m. at the intersection of Darbytown Road and Doran Road.

A Virginia State Police trooper saw the motorcycle being driven erratically, swerving in and out of traffic, and tried to initiate a stop. The motorcycle did not stop and accelerated before losing control.

The crash is under investigation.
