Lightning pushes Thursday football games to Friday

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Thunderstorms and lightning caused the postponement of Thursday's high school football action around the Richmond area. Eleven games are currently scheduled to be made up or completed on Friday. Below is a schedule of tonight's postponed and suspended games that have been rescheduled for Friday, August 31:

James River @ Douglas Freeman- 11:00am

New Kent @ Colonial Heights- 11:00am

Dinwiddie @ New Kent- 3:00pm (suspended in 3rd quarter with Dinwiddie leading, 21-8)

Monacan @ Glen Allen- 5:00pm

Powhatan @ Midlothian- 5:00pm

Atlee @ Deep Run- 5:30pm

L.C. Bird @ Thomas Dale- 6:00pm

Mills Godwin @ Lee-Davis- 6:00pm

Tabb @ Hopewell- 7:00pm

Clover Hill @ Prince George- 7:00pm

Petersburg @ John Marshall- TBD (suspended in 3rd quarter with Petersburg leading, 16-6)
