Water restored to most areas after main break near Huguenot Bridge

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Water should be restored to most areas after a main break near the Huguenot Bridge, according to Richmond's Department of Public Utilities.

The outage also impacted the Stratford Hills area of Southside and the West End near the University of Richmond.

Officials say the water is safe to drink.

St. Mary's Hospital was also impacted with low pressure, according to The Department of Public Utilities. The Health Department was notified of the issued at the hospital. St. Mary's hospital is fully operational. They are working with Henrico County, and water pressure is beginning to stabilize.
