Bones found under Petersburg church not human

PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) - Bones were found at Calvary Temple Church in Petersburg while repair work was being done on the foyer.

The church, located at 110 North Dunlop Street, was been secured as a crime scene Monday, though officials said Tuesday the bones were not human.

A work crew uncovered the bones while pulling up the floor of the church.

The bones continue to be analyzed by a state crime lab.
