RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - There could be a few strong to severe storms Monday afternoon SOUTH of Petersburg, but a bigger chance comes Tuesday afternoon when Richmond jumps up into the "Slight Risk" of severe weather. It's a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY for some potential strong to severe storms.

In addition to the severe threat in the afternoon, it's going to be HUMID so any storms that form could produce localized flooding.

Here's the forecast for Monday at 7 p.m.:

We won't all get rain, but the storms that do form could spark severe warnings. 5 to 9 p.m. is the most likely time for Richmond.
