GREENSVILLE, VA (WWBT) - Three men are wanted following a robbery and shooting at a hotel.

The Greensville County Sheriff's Office said the men stole $50 and a shot a female hotel clerk around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at the American Inn Motel on 1200 Moore's Ferry Road in Skippers.

She was taken to VCU Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Sheriff's office officials said the first suspect shot out the glass of the front door, entered the lobby and took cash from the drawer before going into the motel's office where the clerk was. The suspect asked the clerk for more money and shot her after being told there wasn't any.

He is described as wearing a white mask, gray shorts-sleeve shirt over a black hoodie and black pants with a white stripe down both sides.

A second suspect also entered the lobby wearing a dark hooded coat and blue jeans. The sheriff's office said third suspect acted as a look-out at the door and was wearing all dark colored clothes.

Images of the suspects were captured on surveillance cameras.
