Suspect pleads guilty in connection with death of Chesterfield man

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A man has pleaded guilty in connection with a shooting death in Chesterfield County.

Christopher Lassenberry pleaded guilty to an amended charge of voluntary manslaughter and shooting from a vehicle in the Jan. 18 death of Thomas Bradley, 24. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 31.

Lassenberry, 29, of Chesterfield and Barry Dixon, 28, of Richmond, were arrested in January.

Dixon is scheduled to go to trial July 17.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Larne Avenue, near Peyton Avenue, around 12:39 a.m. on Jan. 18 for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Bradley with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
