Henrico police search for Glen Allen bank robbery suspect

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - A man is on the run after Henrico police say he robbed a bank in Glen Allen.

The robbery happened at 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at the Wells Fargo, located in the 10100 block of Staples Mill Road.

Officers say a man walked into the bank, approached the teller and presented a note. The victim handed the suspect some money, and the suspect left the bank. No weapon was displayed.

The suspect is described as a black man, between 40 and 50 years old, about 6-feet-tall, and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green baseball cap with a blue brim, a black t-shirt, and blue jeans.

Anyone with any information on the suspect's whereabouts is asked to call Henrico police at 804-501-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
