Family: Pregnant woman killed in South Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The family of the woman killed in a South Richmond shooting says the woman was six months pregnant with a little boy. Her three other children were home when she was killed. Police say this was a domestic-related homicide.
Officers received a call around 2:41 p.m. on Thursday for a report of a person shot in the 2200 block of Chalfont Drive, near East Belt Boulevard and Hopkins Road. When officers arrived, they found a female suffering from a gunshot wound.
She died at the hospital as a result of her injuries. The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
Police are still on the scene investigating.
