Juvenile charged with arson after Chesterfield house fire

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Investigators say a juvenile is in custody, accused of breaking into a home in Chesterfield and setting it on fire.

Crews arrived at the scene of a house fire in the 9400 block of Kendrick Road around 11:35 a.m. Thursday. They entered the home and found heavy fire in the living room and kitchen.

No one was found inside the home. The fire was under control in 25 minutes.

Investigators then determined that the fire was set intentionally. They have not released any other information about the juvenile.
