Man arrested in connection with firearm violation at Henrico business

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico police have arrested a man in connection with a firearm violation at a business in Henrico.

Officers received a call from a business in the 400 block of East Laburnum Avenue on Monday around 2:45 p.m. to investigate a reported firearm violation.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found out that one of the suspects drove away. Officers reviewed the surveillance footage, which showed an argument between two men on the business's property.

As the men began to get into their vehicle, police say one of them fired multiple rounds into the air with a handgun. The men then drove away from the business, according to police.

Officers say at least one of the rounds damaged a nearby vehicle.

Other officers, who were out on another call for service, saw the vehicle driving recklessly out in the area they were in. The officers said they eventually realized the vehicle was involved in the firearm violation.

After their investigation, police arrested Anthony O'Kelly Wallace Jr. and charged him with auto vandalism, being drunk in a public place, and discharging a firearm.
