3 Henrico schools close due to power outages

(WWBT) - Three Henrico schools closed at 12 p.m. on Tuesday due to the lack of power, according to spokesperson Andy Jenks.

The three schools that are without power are:

  • Brookland Middle School
  • Freeman High School (including Center for Leadership, Government, and Global Economics)
  • Henrico High School (including Center for the Arts and International Baccalaureate)

Ten to 15 schools were without power at one point Tuesday morning, Jenks said.

Meanwhile, Lunenburg, and Fluvanna County schools are on a two-hour delay. Schools in Hanover, Caroline, Louisa, Madison and Orange counties are closed.
