ELKTON, VA (WWBT) - Firefighters in Elkton, Va. had to deal with a massive fire on Christmas Eve.
The fire happened at a building downtown, and crews already knew they were going to have to deal with smoke and flames.
They requested more crews, declaring the fire a two-alarm.
However, once crews got to the back of the building, they realized it was actually a four-alarm fire and called in even more units.
Officials say the fire was tough to battle due to the heavy smoke that spread through the entire area.
No one was seriously hurt, but the fire did impact 10 households.
