RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A man who robbed the Wells Fargo bank in downtown Richmond was arrested as he ran south on the Manchester Bridge, according to Richmond Police.
Detectives have now charged Joseph D. Matz, 47, in the robbery. Officers say he went into the bank at 801 E. Main St. around 12:53 p.m. on Thursday and gave a teller a note demanding cash.
The man ran south toward Kanawha Plaza with the money only to be arrested moments later, according to police.
