U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force looking to arrest 'violent sex offender'

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force is looking to arrest a convicted sex offender.

John Edward Hall is wanted for a probation violation and for failing to register as a sex offender in Dinwiddie, Chesterfield, and Richmond.

Officials say he cut his GPS bracelet off on June 14, and his whereabouts are currently unknown.

Hall is described as a six-feet-tall, bald, white man with green eyes and weighs 200 pounds.

He previously served time for raping a child and for failing to register as a violent sex offender in Virginia
