Richmond man faces 2 felony charges tied to weekend homicide

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond man faces two felony charges connected to a weekend homicide that left 35-year-old Naquan R. Bentley dead.

Police say 54-year-old Tracey S. Hughes, of Richmond, was arrested and charged with possession of a sawed-off shotgun and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Additional charges are expected.

Just after 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Richmond officers were called to the 3300 block of Lawson Street for a report of a person down. Bentley was found outside with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective do not believe the shooting was random.
