PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) - Petersburg's City Council voted on Thursday night to hire the Robert Bobb group to help with the city's financial problems.
Sources say the cost for this consulting firm is more than $350,000. The vote came after the contract failed to get enough votes during a special meeting Tuesday.
City Council will also move forward with a forensic audit to determine what went wrong with the city's budget.
At one time, Bobb served as City Manager of Richmond.
