DOSWELL, VA (WWBT) - If you see a large group of tractor trailer trucks on the interstate on Saturday escorted by police, don't be alarmed -- it's the World's Largest Truck Convoy.

In the sixth annual event, a convoy of trucks will head from Meadow Event Park at 10 a.m. Saturday and travel down I-95 to I-295 and I-64 before returning to the park around 11:30 a.m.

"Motorists should expect delays from the Meadow Event Park along Route 30 to Interstate 95 southbound between Doswell and Exit 84B and along Interstate 295 northbound to Interstate 64 eastbound to Bryan Park and Interstate 95 northbound, ending at the Meadow Event Park," Virginia State Police said in a news release.

The event is designed to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics' athletes. Last year's event raised more than $30,000 as more than 150 trucks participated in the Virginia convoy.

The World's Largest Convoy will take place this year in 38 localities around the U.S. and Canada.
