Several Comcast customers in Louisa reported seeing pornographic material on one of the company's channels Sunday morning.

The images were shown for more than an hour on an educational access channel.

Comcast spokesperson Aimee Metrick released the following statement:

We sincerely apologize for the content issue that occurred yesterday morning in Louisa County.  As soon as we became aware, we immediately fixed it.

While we were working to resolve a channel issue, an accidental misconfiguration in equipment inadvertently allowed the wrong content to be viewed.  We are taking steps to ensure this can't happen again.

The issue was resolved around 11:30 a.m.
