NEWPORT NEWS, VA (WWBT) - The Wason Center for Public Policy out of Christopher Newport University just released the latest polling numbers about the presidential race.
In a head-to-head contest, 48 percent of Virginia voters prefer Clinton, while 38 percent prefer Donald Trump.

But among all five candidates who will be on the Nov. 8 ballot, the tally is Clinton at 39 percent, Trump at 33 percent, and Libertarian Gary Johnson at 15 percent. Green Party nominee Jill Stein and Independent Evan McMullin each take 3 percent. The margin of error is 3.9 percent.
Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump will face off Monday night on NBC12 in arguably one of the most highly anticipated debates in history. Some analysts say it could be the most watched debate ever.
The debate will be moderated by Lester Holt at NBC News. It's happening at Hofstra University, in New York.
You can watch it live on NBC12 starting at 9 p.m. The debate will last until 10:30 p.m.
