RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Cleanup lasted for several hours Wednesday morning for a tractor trailer fire that shut down all lanes of southbound I-95 near the Bells Road exit.

Dozens of fire fighters responded to put out the blaze that broke out just after 2 a.m.

Fire officials say the blaze started because of a mechanical fire. The driver noticed the fire, pulled over and disconnected the trailer, which was filled with cornbread.

The driver was not hurt.

All lanes were reopened and the miles-long backup was clear by 10:30 a.m.
