RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police arrested the suspect they say held up a busy Carytown bank in broad daylight Friday.
According to authorities, just before 2 p.m., a suspect walked into the Union Bank and Trust in the 3500 block of West Cary Street near the Martin's grocery store and demanded money from the teller.
After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, police said the suspect fled the bank.
Thanks to witnesses, investigators were able to get a description of the suspect's vehicle, which was eventually found in South Richmond, where they were taken into custody.
No one inside the bank was hurt during the daytime heist and Richmond Police said the suspect did not display a weapon during the robbery.
The unidentified suspect remains behind bars.
