Police search for suspect involved in Hopewell robbery

HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - Hopewell police officers are searching for a suspect involved in a robbery at a 7-Eleven early Monday morning.

Officers responded to the store at 2014 W. Broadway Street for a report of a robbery. Police say a man entered the business and demanded money from the clerk. The man then left the store with an unknown amount of money.

According to authorities, a weapon was not displayed, and no one was injured.

Police describe the suspect as a white man, 35 to 40 years old, 5-foot-9 inches to 6-feet tall, and weighs 165 to 175 pounds. He has light brown or red hair, a moustache, beard, and tattoos on both upper forearms.

Officials say he was last seen wearing a dark colored t-shirt with the word "Fresh" written on the front, dark colored shorts, socks, and sandals.
