Police identify 2 firefighters killed in Minnesota crash

BLAINE, MN (WWBT/KARE) - Police in Minnesota have identified two Michigan firefighters who died after their truck rolled off the interstate Saturday afternoon, according to KARE.

Officers say 25-year-old Alan Swartz and 23-year-old James Shelifoe were killed when the transport truck they were in hit a cable barrier on Interstate 35 and rolled several times.

Lanes in both directions were closed for several hours.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the truck to roll off the interstate.
