Whirlpool is recalling microwaves due to fire hazard

(WWBT) - Whirlpool is recalling more than 15,000 microwaves due to a fire hazard. They say the microwave's internal arching can light an internal plastic component on fire.

The company says the microwave ovens were sold in stainless steel, black, and white. The units were sold between January 2014 to April 2016, according to the CPSC.

Model and serial numbers can be found on the inside of the unit, above the oven cavity on the left hand side. Here's the list of model numbers and serial numbers that are affected by the recall:
