RIO DE JANEIRO (WWBT) - Sunday's primetime action will have a variety of action from Rio, featuring Team USA having a chance at gold in the pool and women's team gymnastics getting underway!

Several swimming finals will be getting underway, featuring world-record holder Katie Ledecky in the women's 400m free along with Dana Vollmer in the women's 100m fly.
Vollmer returns to the event a new mother after taking the gold in London in 2012.
On the men's side, the United States looks to avenge a 2012 second-place finish to France in the men's 4x100m freestlyle relay.
In addition, Henrico's own Townley Haas will be competing in the Men's 200m freestyle semifinals Sunday evening representing Team USA. Haas will be joined in the pool by men's 400m freestyle silver medalist Sun Yang of China and men's 400m individual medley goal medalist Kosuke Hagino of Japan.
Plus, women's team competition in gymnastics will begin, as three-time all-around champion Simone Biles is at the helm of the heavily favored U.S. squad.
Late night coverage on NBC12 includes the Men's team competition in gymnastics.
