PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) - A water main break has forced Petersburg to implement mandatory water restrictions for utility customers on Monday.
Customers are asked to not water lawns, wash cars or fill swimming pools.
"This mandatory restriction is in effect for at least the next 24 hours or until crews can repair," the city said on its website. "The City will provide an update once this restriction has been lifted."
City officials say the water main break was in the Battersesa area.
