According to Lt. Armstrong with Richmond Fire, a call came in just before 8 p.m. Wednesday for a person stranded on the rocks. Three people were on the rocks, but one of them was unable to make it back to shore.

Water rescue crews launched boats onto the river to safely extract the individual from the rocks and back to the shoreline.
