Suspect fires shot during Walgreens attempted robbery in Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police say a man fired a shot during a robbery attempt at a Walgreens Pharmacy in Carytown on Saturday.

It happened around 9:05 a.m. in the 3500 block of Ellwood Avenue. Police say a man entered the store with a handgun, approached the counter and demanded money. He fired a shot and ran off before he was able to take anything.

Police say no one was injured.

The suspect is about 5'10" in height and 150 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt with a black long sleeve shirt underneath, blue jeans, a black hat, and red, black and white shoes.
