Police searching for thief who broke into Richmond cell phone store

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police are looking for the man who broke into a Southside Richmond cell phone store two different times and made off with several items after each break-in.

According to investigators, the crimes began shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, when officers were called to the Metro PCS store located along the 600 block of Hull Street for a report of a break-in.

When officers arrived, they found the front door glass smashed and items stolen from the business.

Days later on June 22, officers were called back to the mobile phone retailer and found a similar scene, with windows smashed and products stolen from the store.

Anyone with information on these incidents or the individual sought in this case is asked to call Richmond-Henrico Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
