Petersburg man known as 'Murder' faces attempted murder charge

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VA (WWBT) - A Petersburg man with the nickname "Murder" faces an attempted murder charge after police say he shot another man in Colonial Heights on June 8.

The Colonial Heights Police Department says Ethan A. Prescott (also known as "Murder") shot a 25-year-old man several times in the 1400 block of Branders Bridge Road.

The victim was treated at Southside Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Working with the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force, the Colonial Heights Police Department arrested Prescott and charged him with attempted murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He is being held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
