HOUSTON, TX (WWBT) - A dog rescued by a TV news crew this week in floods in Texas may soon have a new home.
The Houston Humane Society says that Archer -- named after one of the reporters who rescued her -- is "not available yet," but will be soon.
The news crew from KPRC says Archer was just one of several dogs they saw while boating through Fort Bend from flooding from the Brazos River.
An employee at the Humane Society says there have been dozens of inquires about adopting Archer.
"She's a total sweetheart that loves getting attention," the Humane Society posted on Facebook. "We're giving her plenty of rest and relaxation and over the next few days our clinic will be keeping an eye on her."
