Man facing the death penalty to appear in Henrico court

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - A trial date has been set for the man accused of shooting and killing his parents on Easter.

William Brissette, 22, is facing capital murder charges and will have to wait for more than a year for his trial, which will begin June 5, 2017. The Henrico Commonwealth Attorney's office has not yet decided if it will pursue the death penalty.

Brissette is accused of shooting and killing his parents, Henry and Martha Brissette. Their bodies were found inside their home on Forge Road in March.

Court records show that Brissette had a criminal record, which included drug charges. He was also seeking mental health services.
