World record holder of Beer Mile lands mega deal

(WWBT) - The faster Beer Mile runner in the world just got a lot richer.

A report from CBC Sports in Canada says Ontario's Lewis Kent will be paid $100,000 to be the spokesperson for the National Beer Mile racing circuit.

Beer Mile runners drink a can of beer, run a lap on a standard 400-meter track, then repeat that three times. Four beers, four laps.

Kent holds the world record for the Beer Mile at 4 minutes and 47 seconds.

Kent's deal with the national circuit comes on the heels of signing a shoe deal with Brooks last summer, according to ESPN. He was also on "Ellen" in December.
