Goochland Drive-In Theater makes offer that thief couldn't refuse

GOOCHLAND, VA (WWBT) - A thief has returned a stolen poster to the Goochland Drive-In Theater after learning that they had security footage of the whole thing.

The theater posted on Saturday about the theft of a "When Harry Met Sally" poster from the ladies restroom, mentioning that they also had security footage. They offered the thief a chance to return the poster, and said they would not give the footage to police.

The thief used an anonymous mailer to send a message to the theater, accusing them of illegally recording footage in the bathroom but also saying the poster, taken as a "prank," would be returned.

The theater posted to Facebook on Tuesday that the poster has returned, and "just to clarify, the security cameras are outside of the restrooms."
