Henrico shopping center evacuated over robbery, suspicious package

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Businesses in the Laburnum Square shopping center were evacuated on Friday afternoon when a robbery suspect left behind a suspicious package.

Crews are investigating the package in the 4700 block of Finlay Street now with a bomb robot and half the shopping plaza has been cleared.

Police were initially called to investigate a robbery at the Check Into Cash at 3:23 p.m. and found the suspect left behind the package. Officers are still on-scene and haven't released any description of the suspect.
