Hopewell police: shooting suspect may be armed and dangerous

HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - Hopewell Police are searching for a suspect who shot someone in the 3900 block of Oaklawn Boulevard in March.

Police say Dequante Travell Roney, 22, of Hopewell, is armed and should be considered dangerous.

Police say Roney fired multiple shots on March 14, injuring one other person, who was treated and released from John Randolph Medical Center.

Roney has active warrants on file for malicious wounding, using a firearm in the commission of a felony and discharging a firearm in a public place.
