PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) - MunCheese restaurant in Petersburg is getting national attention because of a store policy sign posted on the building.
Some of those policies include: We are here to serve you...not to kiss your @#$'? and Due to 'da' price increase 4 ammo...Do not expect a warning shot (For those who want 2 act a fool).
"When my son brought it to my attention I was like oh my God," said Annette Newsome-Ampy. "This is my first time, but it will probably be my last."
Ampy's 18-year-old son, Thomas, disagrees.
"Keep it up," said Thomas about the sign. "It's funny."
Restaurant owner, Mohamed Salama, says he has no regrets.
"Don't bring the attitude and come and disrespect me," said Mohamed. "You are very much unwanted in my store."
As for those offended by the lines like...no clothes...no services (Exception: Women no clothes...more service)?
"I really apologize. The most who got mad were my people," said Mohamed. "I got people who came from the mosque trying to tell me you shouldn't put your name like that because this is really not representing the name or the religion. I will take it off for them. I might just play a little bit with the words to not make it offend anybody."
The only change he can guarantee is that he plans to remove his name, Mohamed, from the sign.
