WASHINGTON, D.C. (WWBT/WRC) - A D.C. teen, who was on his way to get a haircut before Easter, was shot and killed at the Metro, and his killer is eluding police.
15-year-old Davonte Washington was surrounded by his mother, his sisters, and countless other Metro-goers, when those shots were fired Saturday afternoon.
"All I heard was the lady say, 'They shot my son.' And the babies was [sic] crying, so I was trying to console them," a passenger said.
Investigators believe Washington was shot by someone he'd been arguing with at the Deanwood station. That killer may have been captured on surveillance video, which police are reviewing.
