HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - Hopewell Police are searching for four people involved in the Sunday morning shooting and robbery of a 52 year old Dinwiddie man.

Police say the victim was in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven in the 2300 block of Oaklawn Blvd when he agreed to follow two women who were driving a late model, black Pontiac Grand AM. They say when he arrived to the 1500 block of Luther Boulevard the Pontiac kept going and he was pulled out of his vehicle by two black males who assaulted him and shot him twice.

Officers tell us the victim's wallet and personal items were taken, then the offenders fled on foot. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have only a vague description of the suspects. Anyone who was in that area around 3:15 a.m. Sunday is asked to call the Hopewell/Prince George Crime Solvers at (804) 541-2202.
