Mekong tops USA Today's 'Best Beer Bar' list

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - A Henrico Vietnamese restaurant has once again been awarded for its beer.

Mekong received the most votes in a USA Today and 10Best contest for "Best Beer Bar," beating out bars from across the country. A second Virginia bar -- The Birch in Norfolk -- also make the top 10 list.

On a Facebook post where Mekong asked for votes last month, fans said things such as "Best beer bar ever," "Favorite bar of all time" and "All I can say is this place is amazing."

Mekong, which has dozens of beers on tap from around the world, has also won several top beer awards from Craftbeer.com in recent years.
