POWHATAN, VA (WWBT) - There are no signs of foul play in the death of a man at a Powhatan home, sheriffs said on Monday.

The man's family called deputies on Sunday, because they hadn't heard from him in a while and were growing concerned. Deputies went to the home in the 2000 block of Ride Road, off Old Buckingham Road and found the man dead.

The man has not been identified, but investigators say he was in his 70s. He lived by himself and suffered from several medical issues, according to the sheriff's office.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
