RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Power outages are also a possibility in a storm like this, but Dominion says they're at the ready to respond.

The good news is they say the kind of fluffy snow we're expecting shouldn't cause problems. It won't weigh heavily on tree limbs and lines like wetter snow does.

Dominion says the real concern this time around is drivers on the slick roads.

A main cause of outages is cars crashing into power poles, so they're urging you to take extra caution when you hit the roads.

"In spite of the fact that the roads will be well treated, the roads are going to be slick and so vehicle accidents pose a greater threat than the snow or the ice levels that are forecasted," says Le-Ha Anderson with Dominion.
