Caroline shooting leaves two dead, two injured including a child

CAROLINE, VA (WWBT) - Caroline County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that left two dead and two injured, including a child.

Deputies along with Fire and Rescue units responded to a call of a shooting in the 14000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway around 9:45 p.m. Friday. Upon arrival, they found two adults, 42-year old Andre Gray and 42-year old Tina Gray, deceased inside the home.

Deputies also found two surviving family members, an 18-year old female and a 7-year old male. Both were transported to Mary Washington Hospital where they were listed in stable but critical condition.

According to Caroline Investigators, this shooting appears to be domestic related.

"This investigation is ongoing, no further information will be released at this time," stated Caroline County Sheriff Tony Lippa.

Andre Gray's family said they were shocked by the news. His cousin said he knew Gray since he was born, and knew Tina Gray for more than 20 years. They said the Grays were good people, and that Andre Gray would help neighbors shovel out during a snow storm. However, Gray's cousin admits "the family was in crisis."

The 18-year-old and 7-year-old are still recovering from the shooting.
