Chesterfield firefighters respond to intense blaze at vacant house

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Chesterfield firefighters responded to an intense house fire Tuesday morning at 10501 Cattail Road, south of Pocahontas State Park near River Road.

Crews arrived at the blaze at 6:46 a.m. and took a little more than an hour to get it under control.

Firefighters said it appears no one lived at the home.

The Chesterfield County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
