Hopewell Police: 18-year-old man dead, other shooting victim in hospital

HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - Hopewell Police are investigating a double shooting at the Davisville apartment complex that left an 18-year-old Prince George man dead.

Police say after 1 p.m. Saturday, they found 18 year old Jeramyah Pierce in the 500 block of Terminal Street. They say he died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the neck. Officers say a second man is at VCU Medical Center in critical but stable condition.

A newer model, 4-door, white Dodge pickup truck, crew cab, was seen leaving the area just after the shooting. According to witnesses, it all started as an argument. Police are asking the witnesses to come forward to assist in the ongoing murder investigation.
