Spotsylvania sheriffs asking for public's help in death investigation

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA (WWBT) - The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in reference to a death investigation on Dec. 7, where deputies say they found a deceased woman inside a car.

Police are asking if anyone has seen a gray/silver KIA sedan that says, "I love you. ;)" written on the back windshield between 10 and 11 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6.

Deputies received a call from a person, who reported a car parked in his driveway in the 10300 block of Piney Branch Road. They say the car was parked in the man's driveway, near the road. In it, they found a woman, who was later identified as 21-year-old Heather Ciccone. They say she suffered severe trauma to the upper body.

Ciccone's body has been taken to the Medical Examiner's office in Richmond.

The investigation is being handled as a suspicious death, pending the ruling from the Medical Examiner's office on the cause of death.
