Police release photos of Grove Avenue robbery suspect

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police are looking for a man who allegedly struck a woman, took her purse, then used her card at two 7-Eleven stores.

Police say shortly after midnight on November 20, the suspect approached a woman walking along Rowland Street, near the 2100 block of Grove Ave. They say he shoved her to the ground and tried to take her purse. When she did not leg go, he struck her again and grabbed the purse. He got into a white sedan and drove off on Rowland Street toward Hanover Avenue.

The suspect then used a bank card from the purse at two 7-Eleven stores at 11 West Grace St. and 122 S. Belvidere St.

Police have released surveillance photos from the stores.
