PHOTOS: Police search for suspects after armed robbery in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Police are searching for the men who robbed the Bellwood Federal Credit Union in Chesterfield.

The robbery occurred around 10:25 a.m. Thursday, at 7101 Jefferson Davis Highway.

According to Chesterfield Police, two male suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered the bank. The men approached the tellers and demanded money.

The armed suspect also robbed a man who was in line at the bank.

Police say the suspects fled in a beige or cream-colored vehicle that appeared to be a Cadillac or Lincoln, after the suspects received cash from the bank and the man in line.

The first suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet 1 inch tall with an average build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

The second suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall in his late 30s to early 40s. He was wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and a black hat.

This suspect was armed with a silver handgun.

No one was injured during the incident.
